Thank you,Dennis - once again - for the specific lead to the 1876 Death Reg for Jane Cameron Grant. Also, that gets us back another generation with the names of Jane's parents: John and Marjory.

The Death Reg info is also available for Angus, who predeceased Jane in 1872, with the "bonus" of finding names of Angus' parents as well - Hector and Margaret.

Now to gather stronger evidence that THIS Angus and Jane CAMERON GRANT are actually the parents of my great-grandmother Annie/Ann/Nancy GRANT McLEAN. The more I re-check the information I have to date, I realize the link from this Annie/Ann/Nancy back to them is a little "shaky". It would have been nice if Ann's parents' names were included in her 1911 Death Registration, but at least I have some details about her from what was asked at that time.

I've learned a great deal of geography and Antigonish history this past week, discovered some excellent resources available to those of us living distances away, and "met" online some generous family researchers. I would be happy to return the favor and share with anyone else trying to solve their own puzzles.
