Hi Phil:

I am helping Tonya Paul of Granville, Ohio, USA discover her ancestry. Here's what we have so far:

Noel [Newel/Newal/Knewe] Paul
(1831 – 71)

Benjamin Paul
(1861 - 1909)

Abraham Paul m. Pea[r]l [Parsons] Paul
(1881 - 19 ? ) (?)

Thomas Paul m. Beatrice (Ward) Paul
[1914- ? ] [1923- ?]

Gerald Paul Hazel [Kippenhuck] Paul
(19 ? - ) (19 ? )

Tonya Paul
(1979 – Present)

Gerald Tonya's Father was from Port Hope Simpson and she spent her early life there and in St. John's, Newfoundland. Any help that you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

I have different information for your Hettie Paul. In our family tree -

Annie Bowns Butt m. John Butt and had 3 children:

Abraham Butt m. Bertha Haggett
Andrew Butt
Henrietta Butt (1888-1972) m. Alphonsos Barrington (1882-1965)

Hettie and Alphonsos lived in Badger and raised their children 10 children there. Our family always referred to Henrietta as Aunt Hettie and some of her descendants still live in Badger. My cousin Frances (Nee Paul) Hurley, daughter of William John Paul (b 1900) fondly remembers Aunt Hettie. Frances also told me that Annie Bowns Butt Paul was a midwife.
