My grandfather, William King, was born in Canada in 1883 to E King and Elizabeth Murphy. He had a sister, Margaret. He married Hannah McLean in 1903. My father Patrick Alexander,(later known as Alexander)was born in New Brunswick in 1901. The family, including Cecilia Beatrice, dad's sister,
enter USA at Vanceboro, ME in August of 1905. They settled in Old Town, ME. Another sister- Mildred was born in Feb of 1907. William King died in Bango, ME on 18 Oct 1908. This left my grandmother, Hannah King to raise 3 young children. I do not know what happened to the sisters. Dad used to tell me that I looked like one of them, but I have not pictures. Hannah remarried them were grown. She married Gustave Savoy. They had a daughter, Dorothy whom were referred to as our Aunt Dorothy (1924-1993.My dad may have married someone named Grace in ME--don't know for sure. My dad became a naturalized US citizen in 1938 about a year after he married my mother, Beatrice Linda Brown. My brother, William Alexander King, born 1951- died 2007, was named after granda and dad. Would like to know what happened to dad's sisters and his niece, Cathy (my cousin).
