I came across your message from last year. My grandfather was William McCrum born in Port Hope, Ontario in 1849...his father was James McCrum from Ireland...they were linen makers over there, but James was a shoemaker. William married Margaret Wilcox, whose mother was Jane Parks. Jane (Parks) and James Wilcox were storeowners in Cremore, Ontario.
