John Benson Spear (1858-1934) and his wife Annie Amelia Fernald (1869-1945) had four sons, three daughter. The children were as follows: 1) Colin Eldorado Spear (1891-1960); 2) Joseph Carroll ("Joe") Spear (1893-1918) (killed in France in WWI); 3) Ida Bell Spear (1894-1982); 4) Hazen Alonzo Spear (1899-1972); 5) Bessie Ordelia Spear (1901-1991); 6) Geprge Mannon Spear (1903-1951); and 7) Frances Alberta ("Fannie") Spear (1905-1960).

Colin Spear married Helen B Gurgell (1894-1967) - no issue.

Joe Spear never married - no issue.

Ida Spear married Frederick Seymour ("Fred") McLean (1889-1960). They had three children: 1) Jack, 2) Anna, and 3) Effie.

Hazen Spear married Bessie Erma Brown (1905-1985). They had three children: 1) Eloise, 2) Helen and 3) John (1939-1999).

Bessie Spear first married James Raymond Fay Sr. (1903-1961) (divorced). Bessie then married Walter S Crisp (1886-1972). Bessie and her first husband had four children, namely: 1) James Jr. (1924-1983); 2) Betty; 3) Jack (1928-2004) and 4) Frances (1930-1988).

George Spear married Minnie Alberta Fraser. They had two children: 1) Colin & 2) Brenda.

Fannie Spear married Redvers Albert ("Red") Massie (1900-1976). They had four children: 1) Frances; 2) Janet (ca1940-1947); 3) Linda and 4) Diane.
