I just saw your inquiry for Williscroft Bros. I just got back from Gladstone yesterday that is home base for me.
I have the last book on Gladstone. The earliest records they have is 1884 Sept. 06 They were Contractors. And feel they built several frame building in Gladstone. The two brothers Ben and Bill Ben moved to Vancouver with his family. 1909-1910 Bill stayed in Gladstone with his daughter
Mrs. Andrew Kerr until he passed away. year not mentioned
Hope this helps you.

Hi, I am related to these McLeod's, and this John D McLeod b 1848 (died at Gladstone 1898) is the son of Donald McLeod b. 1817 Raasay Scotland , and yes John married Emma Clayton.

If you search Donald McLeod b 1817 on Rootsweb you will find his family tree. Donald married Mary McKenzie and their son Alexander (the one born 1853 as they had a son Sandy too) is my great grandfather And my name was Ann MacLeod ( note the Mc/ MAcs change at whim) before I married.
