i too am an Audette, my maiden name. The info I have is as follows: 1 - Lewis Audette (b.1830) married Carolin Griay They had 2 - Joseph Audette (b. 1852, d. 1923) married Vitaline Girard (b. 1854, d. 1926) they had Mary, Paul, George, Girard, Rose, and Joseph Claude. 3 - Joseph Claude (b. 1880, d. 1947) married Cora Carignan (b. 1876, d. 1960). they had one son, Joseph Raymond, my father. Daddy (b. 1909, d. 1978) married Harriett Boehle (b. 1909, d. 1965). They had three daughters, Alicia, Adrienne, and Suzanne. I was always told that our original Audette was from the Isle of Orleans, on athe St. Lawrence River, around Quebec. They were farmers and trappers. I do know that Joseph and Vitaline did migrate to Connecticut, where my father was born. So everyone who preceded my father, must have been born in Canada, but I have no further info.
