I do not agree with the statement that "Galahad was also known as Alliance". A postmaster was assigned in 1907 and the name Galahad approved for a post office northwest of Alliance on my granduncle's homestead in his store.
After a move to my grandfather's homestead nearby and a rebuild, the store was ultimately moved west northwest to the present townsite by then owner Tom Watson when the railroad finally went through. The postoffice went with it and so did its legal name.
