It would be easier if you posted the surnames you are researching - that way I can look up the period records and tell you in which places of origin these families lived in 1914 according to available sources, which would narrow down the possibilities to include only the documented places of origin .

There are several available free online Austria-Hunagary databases that you should consult, like this one for instance:

Make sure you research all possible misspellings in all relevant languages ( German, Hungarian, Serbian, Croatian)

Also, consider changes in place -names in former Yugoslavia 1948-1990 :
