My Galician ancestors lived in the village of Biała (Czortków), Galizien, Austria. Later this village was Biała (Czortków), Tarnopol, Poland; now it's called Bila, Chortkiv, Ternopil′, Ukraine.
I searched ancestry.com and familysearch.org for the four surnames of my great grandparents. I found Canadian immigration documents for a family with two of the four names, and that led me to investigate Biala. I rented 3 reels of microfilm with Biala parish records and scanned through them page by page. I found about 50 ancestors this way!
There are 6 Lechka's in my tree, but I'm sure that there are many more in the microfilm that I didn't include. Here's a link to 14 pages I scanned that show Lechka's. It's a 32 MB zip file.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/80304465/Biala%20Lechka%...I'm sure that there are more pages with Lechka's in the microfilm that I didn't scan. I could research this for you, as the microfilm is on extended loan at the family History Center in Los Angeles.
