He filed intent to naturalize in New York City and I am attempting to get a copy of that. By the time he actually became a citizen he was no longer living in New York City, but in upstate NY - Herkimer County, so I have to look elsewhere for that paperwork. I know that on his WWI Draft Registration he still listed himself as "alien", and by the 1930 census he listed himself as a naturalized citizen.

He was a resident of Herkimer County in the 1915 NYS Census - and never left Herkimer County, but I am unable to find him/his family in the 1920 census.
He seemed to mix and match his names at will when signing paperwork - he signed his draft registration with Peter Pawlusyk. I heard that one of his sons (my uncle) had difficulty obtaining social security benefits because his social security records were in the name Pawlusyk, but all of his employment records were in the name Pawluk.

Thank you for the links, I need to do some research.
