Hi Juraj
I checked the dates on the rolls of microfilm, but they only contain records before 1915. Did Wladimir's parents marry in Bila? Maybe there would be a marriage record before 1915...
Good news: I have worked with Igor Voronchak (
voronchak@ukr.net) a genealogy researcher in the Ukraine. He knows Bila very well. He has gone to the Ukranian Archives for me to look up records between 1914-1944. Maybe you could hire him to help you.
Also: There is a book that I obtained from a recent Bila resident, about the 725 year history of the village of Bila. There are a lot of photos and family stories. It is all in Ukrainian, but my mother's husband can translate to English. The stories are often horrible: this man was killed by KGB, this man was sent to a work camp, this man was sent to Siberia, etc.
I will ask my mother's husband to look through the book and see if he can find any information about Vladimir Hajkowski, Joseph Hajkowski and Maria Kratka.
