If your great grandfather settled in Manitoba's Interlake, then there is a good possiblity that his village would of been from Bilcze a large village previously known as Zlote ( in Polish ) near Borszczow in Tarnopol area, as Bohdan stated.

Many families from Bilcze Zlote, & Myszkow (Myshkiw) area settled in the Komarno, Polson, Malonton area as my grandfather did.
