There is another person researching the Motis name originating in Logonethetianka, in Kythera; see info at www.geneanet.org, the person searching is Telemachos Combes in Athens.

Also try the surname navigator at Cyndi's List (set it to Greece first, or use as is), and also www.familysearch.org. You should be able to get something from one of these sources, and maybe from there, get birth or death certs on someone, and from those trace your roots.
