Lucky you to have been there. I've been looking at touristy types sites along the coast. And drooling. Must by some more Lotto tickets.

It's not that I think in English (although that is my only language) - it's just that I don't know what the equivalent is in another language. And I also know that whoever has the power, makes the rules. I did wonder if, at the time that the Hapsburg Empire ruled, there was a push towards the Austrian language. Or if perhaps Austrians were 'imported' into the area.

I have a lot of Irish in my background and I know of the arrogance with which the British ruled there, to the point of attempting to wipe them out altogether. Or at least the Catholics. But perhaps Ireland is a worst case scenario.

The Books of Souls sound promising. But I guess I have to narrow Antoni down to one of those thousand or so islands.
