Joannes was named after St John the Evanagelist. Martha RADIC came from nobility. The name is written on the record as BADOVINACZ, as the priest was writing in Latin and the Croatian alphabet was not standardized until c. 1850.BADOVINAC sounds like bahdohveentatz.

I think that Joannes may not have been from Kast. it appears to me that he may have come from Ostrc,which is also in Zumberak region

SAJATOVIC sounds like shy ah toh vich

Have you found Marko's baptism/birth record in Kast parish records? I could not, searching from 1834 to 1837. In fact I see no SAJATOVIC listings. Most SAJATOVIC I know of were from Sosice.
