My great-grandfather, Stefan LEDVAK was born in Brezovica to John LEDVAK (born in Torysa) & Rozalia KOVAL (born in Brezovica) in 1866. Stefan had at least two siblings -- a brother Andrew (b. 1864) and a sister Frances (b. 1870). One by one, the children made their way to Bridgeport CT between tbe years 1883 and 1890.

Andrew married a Catherina Weresfri (spelling?) in Bridgeport abt. 1887 or 1888. Lost track of him after 1895; may have gone back to Slovakia.

Stefan married a Julianna SAKSA in Bridgeport abt. 1887 or 1888. Julianna was born in the Bratislava region of Slovakia. Her parents were George SAKSA & Julianna HUDI. Julianna had at least one sister, Mary, who married a Michael BARTEK and settled in WALLINGFORD CT. Stefan & Julianna moved to Scranton PA in 1900. Julianna's parents went back to Slovakia in the early 1900s.0

The only sibling to stay in Bridgeport CT, was Frances, who married a man by the name of Joseph SEKERAK there.
