I am descended from the Mischlewski family who left Poland in 1876. Jacob and his 3rd or 4th wife and many children left for Australia that year. I'm not sure without further checking in my notes if your "Mischowski" stayed in Poland or went to Australia. My great-great-grandfather, John "Jack", stayed behind in Poland/West Prussia to finish an appreticeship but then was financially ? unable to follow the family to Queensland, near Brisbane. Instead he took a ship and jumped ship at New Orleans. I just located the original ship's manifest in Salt Lake City and I belive I recognize her name (your ancestor).
