Both the administrative and judicial/tax district for Maruszyna (coordinates 49.25-19.57) was Nowy Targ (Novij Torh in Rusyn language). The Roman Catholic Church was in Szaflary. (Today Szaflary, once an estate w/a fortified palace, is today Zakopane, a mountain resort.) Turn of the century this was part of Galicia (Malopolskie) Province> Austro-Hungarian Empire. Today this is Poland.
