Went back and reconsidered that the familytree poster who had "my" Vendal Szabo's baptism record as from 1872 in Egerszalok and a sister names Rosa who married a Michael Nemeth may have some family information I don't so went to look for more about Rosa Nemeth ms Szabo and the clues I discovered do suggest that the Egerszalok origins may be correct. According to his 1918 naturalization record, Rosa's husband appears to have been on the same immigrant voyage as Vendel Szabo in 1902-1903 Moltke. I already knew that Vendel's wife and young son Janos were on the same 1903 immigrant voyage on the Pennsylvania as Rosalia Nemeth and her baby Maria. Michael Nemeth's naturalization application says his wife was from Eger Salok and that their first born child Maria Nemeth was born in Nagy Halasz. Vendel Szabo's 1903 immigration record has his last residence as N. Halasz. Here are the children I believe are siblings:

Does this seem probable? Siller as Rozal baptized 1877's mother's maiden name and Smid are not close cognates but I assume it probable there was a transcription error or something of that sort. I will get a look at the originals if that seems useful but didn't want to go too far off the track if my assumptions don't seem sound.
