I am going to the Salt Lake City library in July. I tried the microfilm in the old church records for Mischlewski and similar spellings. Not only was the old Franktur handwriting difficult to read, so was the shaky actual writing as the local priest aged. I think I may hire a genealogist to point me in the right direction as I didn't get anything but a headache when I was there before. Any suggestions? I did find some records of the family that had emigrated to Queensland in some old gen books from Australia.

Any suggestions for research in old West Prussia (now Poland)?
