My husband's great grandfather (Joseph Wilfred b. 1850) was married to Clara Baierl/Bayerl (b. 1851) before they came to this country from what was then the Austria-Hungarian empire. Their village is reportedly Starlitz (now Stary Laz in Czechoslovakia).
They had these children:
John, Barbara, Joseph, Mary, Anne, Anthony, Catherine and Clara.
They migrated to Menominee, MI and some of the family wound up in Elkhart Indiana.
