In the LDS listings I see a Melchior Wing born 1770 and married to Esther Pierrot.

There are births listed for Melchior's son Carl Peter Wing (batised 5 Aug 1790). Carl Peter Wing married Barbara Huber.

Where did you find information that Melchior Wing was the father of George Wing? This seems like a good assumption but I wonder if there is proof?
