Marja, How wonderful we've connected. My cousin Bud (aka Charles Esper) is the one who started me on trying to find the ancestral Espers and I know a great deal about one of Georg Esper & Karoline Schilling's children Johann/John Esper b. 22 Feb 1830 in Kaiserslautern. He immigrated to America @ 1850. My uncle Max Esper [John's grandson] was a photographer with the U.S. Army in WWII and, according to the family story, he found some Esper cousins in the vicinity of Zweibrucken after the war when he was in Germany. Unfortunately, whatever details we had about this were not found after he and his wife died. Bud and his wife wanted to see the area where his ancestors had lived in Germany but he was especially hoping I could find some living descendants of Georg & Karoline Esper. Less than a year after I started Esper ancestor hunting, my elderly aunt [wife of my Uncle Charles Esper] died and when they went through her family things found a set of portraits (unfortunately framed under glass which wasn't the best preservation planning) of Georg Esper & Karoline Schilling. I am happy to share information, records, pictures and will send you a message with my e-mail address. Jeanie
