My gggdf Frederick Arnoldi was born in Hanover Germany, or Bayern, Bavaria. They sailed to N.America in 1773 . He had become the leader of the Dunkard community in Maryland USA and led approx. 25 families up to Detroit and on to the Chatham Kent area of Ontario, Canada. His sons were Frederick Jr., Christopher a.k.a. Stouffel, John, Lewis and 4 daughters. Susanna, Catherine, Medlin Polly,Elizabeth. Frederick was buried by his brother Dericke who had arr. 1787 at Detroit.
