I am searching for the original city in Germany that my ancestor is from. His surname is Texter. We believe that Johan Texter immigrated to the USA from Germany in the early to mid 1700's possibly before or with his father who we believe had the name of Mathias Texter. If anyone knows of this family name and the area of concentration of this name please inform me.
