The origins of the Talmon family was in Torre Pellice, Torino, ITALY (which is where the recent 2006 Olympics were held). They were driven out because of their religous beliefs (Peter Waldo) that did not consider the Pope as the head of the church, etc. (I have a more thorough history report in English I can e-mail to anyone.) These families spoke Italian and French and then German. My father recalls his great-grandmother TALMON using French words, along with English and German.
