My father-in-law always says that all the Fromknechts
are related in some way or another. Well, after doing a little research, I can see why!
My father-in-law, James Bernard Fromknecht (b.1931 in Erie,Pa) was the youngest of 12. His father George F Fromknecht (b.abt.1887) m. to Catherine D Skowronski, was the youngest of 8.
George's parents were Joseph Fromknecht, Jr (b.abt.1848) and Elizabeth Abel.
Joseph's parents were Joseph, Sr and Catherine. As far as I can tell, my Joseph is from Bavaria, but I have also seen Fromknechts from Baden and Prussia.
