I'm fairly certain our Haugs must be related, but how I'm not sure. I come from a Jakob Haug (b. 1807 in Hechingen). He married Magdalena Veck and moved the family to America in 1853. He probably stopped in Ohio briefly before continuing to Wisconsin, where this part of my family still lives.

Do you know if Jakob and Wilhelm were related (possibly brothers)? I see that your message was posted 10 years ago!
