I don't know how relevant this might be, but I have a Dorothy L. Atkinson daughter of Thomas John & Louise Caroline Frances Atkinson, nee Foucard, who was born in 1891 in Beckenham, Kent, England. Her father, Thomas John Atkinson was born in Barbados, West Indies about 1864. Thomas was a stockbroker, and his father Thomas Joseph Atkinson was a captain in the British Army.

I'd be interested to have your views on this.
