"Is the Isle of Lewis here??" - Yes

My ancestors (Martins & MacKenzies) from Lewis also emigrated to Canada in the mid 1800s. I see McDonalds & McLeods in the surname lists of my DNA matches with Lewis roots so they must tie in somehow.

I have found some info from Scotland & Canada on Ancestry. But I have had the best luck with Scottish records on ScotlandsPeople ( govt site). It is a pay site but worth it, in my opinion.
