Fraser is the correct spelling from Scotland, however, we think he changed the spelling after coming to America. My research shows that he came over at the age of 20 in 1745 which would have his birth year in 1725. There is no proof of his birth parents but many small details pointing that he may have been the bastard son of Simon (the fox) Lord Lovatt-Fraser. I have found no proof of birth, only that he was born in Inverness-shire.
