My Christie's immigrated to Australia in 1834 but both Charles and James Christie were the issue of Alexander Christee/Christie and Elizabeth Grant (I think of Glennfiddich connections - i.e. malt whiskey distillieries). It seems they came from the Elgin, Banff and Inveravon areas. I believe there is a Mrs Christie still living in Inveravon.
