I am looking for Margaret Anderson who married William Annal. William Annal was born c.1778, died c.1856 and unfortunately I don't have any dates on Margaret.

William Annal & Margaret Anderson's Son David Annal b. c. 1807, d. c. 1878 who marred Elizabeth Matthew, b. c.? d.c. 1877.

David & Eliz. Annal went on to have 9 children and lived in the Dundee area. Their youngest child Jane Eliz. Stewart Annal was born 8/26/1854 in Dundee. Jane married William Duncan b. 1853 in Lochee, Dundee in 1876. They had children in Scotland and immigrated to New York c.1889., where they had two more. However before moving there permenantly they may have gone back and forth. They may have joined other Annal or Duncan relatives who had gone ahead of them. One member may have been "Jessie or Bessie Duncan" who my have been William Duncan's Sister or cousin.

Jane Eliz. Stewart Annal-Duncan is my Great Grandmother. Right now I don't have a clue as to where the Stewart name fits in. The Annals and Duncans were both in Angus early on and have spread out considerably in Scotland and England.

I have been advised that my Annal family group is not of the "Orkney" Annals and this is a rare name. Also, one faction of the group uses an alternate spelling of Annall and may be in Fife or St. Andrews.

I don't know if my Stewart and Anderson familys are linked in some way. I also don't have any information on Margaret Anderson at this point or a marriage date to William Annal.

I am begining to think that the Stewart name may hold clues to help my research on the Annal line. I have no idea if my research will link up with the families you have listed in your post.
