Hi Mike,
just stumbled across your post. My grandfather was Samuel Lanigan who would have been a younger brother of your grandfather Francis. I have just started looking into my mother's side of our family and I'm glad to have found you so quickly. I remember Ivy cottage and Uncle Thomas as we used to call him very well, I grew up in Waterford by the way but live in California now.
