My ancestry has my Gr Gr Gr Grandfather Peter Finneran b. approx 1760 married to Mary Brennan both from Co. Roscommon.
Peter was said to be a schoolmaster. Their son Patrick b. approx 1788 married Mary Kilmartin. Their son Patrick James b. 1818( Kellybrook) m. Ann Elizabeth (Ann Eliza) Tierney of Co. Cavan.
They both immigrated to the USA and were married in Massachussetts approx 1850.
Any connection to your Brennan's?
