Thank you so much Annette I appreciate your efforts more that I can say you are a real Gem. Bridget & Patrick you mentioned are my ggrandparents married newsatle on Tyne 1868. Bridget died in Childbirth in Worcester Massachuttes, daughter MaryAnn was taken back to England by Patrick according to family tales but have found no record of travel.
Patrick then married Catherine Sweeney in 1879 in Newcastle on Tyne.
There was a Mary Bradshaw with three children in the 1851 UKcensus but can't find anymore on her.

Patrick's father Richard died in newcastle in 1879 he is recorded in the 1871 Census.at which time he was a Widower, but can't find any record of his wife's death.

Do you think I have gone as far as I can on this? I am at the stage where I don't know what to do.
