Thanks for your help. I already have Owen's marriage license from Scioto Co. It doesn't even state that he is from Ireland and the only thing it says about age is that he is over 21. There is no mention of parents. His son's death certificate states that his father is from Ireland. Also, Kentucky sometimes didn't do a good job keeping records in the 1800's.

I was hoping to find someone else who might have been looking into the same family. I'm not even sure if Murta was his name or if it was shortened when he came to the US.

Anyway, thanks again. I will have to do a little more research and try to do some traveling.
