First of all kate i'd forget about all those spanish myths. There are loads of Spain's buried in Cloghprior that is also my own family 'Kellys' family plot ,6 miles from where i live. There were originally merchants and obviously did very well for themselves, this is all written on their gravestones, which are many, there is a row of them in front of our family plot and on the ruined church walls,if i remember one gravestone said that i think they originated in dublin and settled in the puckane area.If you go to my photos click on the first one,my 5Xgrandparent Edward Kelly was married to Winifred Spain who passed in 1804 and you will see other photos if you go along there also from the Cloghprior cemetery. They being well off there must be lots of documentation out there and alot is free these days on .the internetIf you go to 'ireland reaching out' website its fairly recent, login, click on parish 'cloghprior' add your message and locals in that area will help you.Im also on that website, let me know if i can help.JK
