Thank You very much David, I appreciate the help.
Will look foward to hearing from you again and hopefully with some good news. I've searched and searched for my MOODY relatives in Nor. Ireland and no one can see to find any links to our earliest known Moody's...Thomas Moody b.c1710 who lived in Aghadowey, Co. L'derry and married Jean McQUISTON (daughter of Benjamin McQ.), they came to America c1735 and lived in PA for a while and then moved South to NC and settled in Guilford Co., NC. There's lots of info about them on the Rootsweb family pages.
Another of our earliest known ancestors is a John MOODY b.c1830 or so Possibly in Co. Antrim...Ballymoney, Balnamore area. His son James MOODY said he was living in Balnamore, Co. Antrim and that he was age 20 on his marriage certificate to Mary Ann LYNCH (daugh. of William) in Dec. of 1883.
Those are the two earliest known and Proven MOODY ancestors we have going back to Nor. Ireland.
There was a John MOODY who married Elizabeth SHANNON and this John Moody said he was from Tandragee, Co. Armagh but he would have been born in the c1600's sometime. His son was the Presbyterian minister Rev. James MOODY of Newry, Co. Down, Nor. Ireland who had sons Rev. Boyle MOODY and Rev. John MOODY (who removed to Dublin).
I suspect we might descend from this very early John MOODY and Elizabeth Shannon but have yet been able to prove it.
So I thank you for anything you might be able to dig up.
Thank You again.
