Please note,there is a small book in most libraries with the name"Irish Place Names".This book lists Landers from County Cork and Waterford in the Muenster region of Ireland.
You are correct,I have not met anyone that will state that Landers is an Irish name.There Was a Mary Landers on the Mayflower.
