Having always been told that my ggrandmothers maiden name was Hefferson and never having been able to trace them I now find from my gmothers birth cert that because of the poor writing the name could have been Hefferon.

The only info I have is that my gmother was born in Newcastle Co. Galway in 1870. Her parents were Michael and Ellen Ward nee Hefferon or Hefferson.

Is there anyone with any links to either the Wards of this time and place or to Ellen Hefferon.
