In our family we have a Denis McNamara who came over in 1805 with the 100th Irish regiment of foot. His first wife's name was Jane Evers and they were stationed at Fort George, Ontario. His second wife was Mary Ann Walsh and they married at Notre Dame de Quebec, Quebec City. They had at least two children, Marie Henriete and Thomas Anthony. We believe that Denis had a brother by the name of Michael.
