If you contact the local Family History Society which covers the town/village your family came from, it's possible they will have very reasonably priced books which have been taken from the Bishops Transcripts. These books list names of births, marriages and death/burial dates. The only thing is it wll just give names and dates but you can check the appropriate Bishops Transcript in case the Vicar or Priest added extra information such as next of kin etc.
