I am v new to this aswell I have only been doing the family tree thing about 3 months now, I hve found it very interesting. I have been dragging my poor son round churchyards and looking at parish records it is quite anoying when you cant read headstones. I have found if you have a common name someone else may have done some of the work for you. if not it is just a bit of shoe leather and time.
