Hello, Elsie was my great grandfather Richard Guy's sister. They had 11 children. Elsie and Minnie both left Redcar to seek their fortune in the Goldrush in the early 1900s. I have the ships outward bound passenger lists. She married a Barker Cornforth (have their wedding cert). and they are both buried in Oregon. So technically we are related in some way! Would like to know more of your side.

The Guy family line through the maternal line are related through the Fleck family, of Captain James Cook. He had no surviving children, but his sister Margaret Cook married and had childre. I have that family tree if you are interested.
