Thank you so much for all this information you have found for me. Events have altered a bit since I submitted my first post as I have now found this man.

His personal information is slightly different than you have although him being in the RE and stealing property is strangely slightly different to my info in that I have him stealing a dress uniform containing two wallets. What a character he is turning out to be!. I received his army records a little while ago.

His father was George Nelson Woodhead but always known as Nelson and his Mother's name Higgins tho I haven't got a christian name for her.

You have his dob wrong as he was actually born 1926 and died an alcoholic in 1988.

There is something else I am interested in with this man and I don't know if you can help but I have already been in touch with my half sister (yes this ne'er do well was my birth father) but she told me that after her Mother died (Mabel Petts) they found a birth certificate with just 'adopted' written on it. None of the other children of the family had ever come across him before and I wondered if there is any chance at all of finding him. I realise he may still be alive. His birth name was Eric W Woodhead born 1950.
