I'm looking for information on my mother's mother's father's family. William Fielder came to the USA by way of Canada as a minister. He was born in Northiam, Sussex, England. His mother, Susan died in Beckley, England which, I think, is a neighboring village to where he was born. He says he was two years old at her death so she probably died in 1854-55. His parents are Isaac Fielder and Susan Cockett( I had trouble reading his writing on his marriage license but I think it is Cockett). He was born 13 Oct 1852. He had a sister, whose name was Katherine, I think. I know she was still living in 1936 when William died in Alabama, USA. One of his memories was that he had an aunt and uncle that owned a farm on the site of the Hasting battle field.

Can anyone help me to find the right area and any information on this family or where to go to find information?
