I am trying to find an entry in a register for the marriage of John Hensley from Luccombe, Somerset. He was born in 1772 in Luccombe to John Hensley (1740-1809) and Phillis Wey (1747-1833).

In 1803 his daughter (and only child that I can find) Phillis was baptised on 24 July 1803 at Luccombe. In the baptismal register it was "John/Elizabeth" as her parents.

The earliest John could have married would have been 1788. I have searched from that date until after the birth of Phillis but can find no record of a marriage for him in the surrounding areas.

I did find a marriage register entry for a John Hensley and Elizabeth Williams 13 Jul 1802 at St John the Baptist, Bristol.

This may be him but I am not sure. I have tired various parish registers, Ancestry, GR and IGI without success. If anyone has any information on John please contract me.
