I don't know Mary's maiden name. PR Transcript of Births for their children only say William and Mary.

I know it's not Mary Midwinter because she died in childbirth 24 Sep 1940 before Vestye was born. It could be Mary Somersby IF William was baptised as an adult prior to his wedding - otherwise the dates don't fit.
There is a bap for William in the 1770s in Finstock in 1738, one year prior to the wedding.
The only other William to be bap in Finstock was in 1750. Vestye was born in 1763 so that William would have been too young.
Trouble is how to find out if William was received into the church as an adult?

The other option is another Mary who was not from the Finstock area and who was married in her home parish.

I hope this makes sense.
